Physical punishment should never be utilized with us!
Not only is it ineffective at correcting something you see as a behaviour problem, it leads to fear and anxiety on our part. Like all creatures of high intellect, we cats refuse to follow arbitrary and whimsical rules so please refrain from introducing them.
If you want to interrupt my behaviour immediately and effectively, just aim a small spray of water at me. My woman uses a water pistol she confiscated from a small boy.
Thanks for sharing that about punismment of cats! People just don’t realize how easily we can be hurt. Our Mom uses a water bottle on us when we are naughty. Which is never in our opinion! (hehehehe)
