Next door neighbour is a pain. (Another old woman)
She had the unmitigated gall to approach me this morning. I can ignore the overture but she actually tried to touch me, to pat me on the head!
When I turned my back to ignore her and shuddered at the bit of old sardine she was dangling, she muttered ‘how like a man‘ I am. (I am not)
She has this problem of likening humans to cats. (Ignorance is no excuse)
With the qualities of cleanliness, discretion, affection, patience, dignity, and courage that I have, how many humans, I ask you, are capable of being cats?
