Nine Year Walkabout

Dixie went off for a small stroll nine years ago. She failed to return.

But last week she was seen wandering somewhere else entirely and ended up with her microchip being scanned, and thus returned to her original ‘owner’. I question not just where Dixie has been in the last nine years, but the reason for her initial departure. Why did she leave in the first place?

I’m told she is a happy, contented cat but she doesn’t look too jolly in that photo. She looks decidedly cross.
