In which I learn a Secret

I can hear
People are funny.  As a rule they think I’m deaf. I believe they think all cats are deaf.  Not only deaf, but incapable of understanding. Do I have news for them!

I have heard whispers. The woman has been talking on the phone. She forgets I read her notebook at night.

Someone is hosting a party for me!

Now, let’s be clear here. It’s not my birthday, nor is it for some months. Which leaves me with serious questions about a party for myself. Is another trip to the Animal Hospital in the offing? Am I about to undergo some horrific surgical procedure amongst strangers and having a party is a means to placate me? The mind boggles.

I will have to increase my surveillance methods to uncover the details of this party plot. Stay tuned.
