Yes it’s true! I slogged away, working my paws to the bone, keeping my eye on the prize and refusing to give up. I even sacrificed some precious nap time!

It was worth it. Well worth it. I made my 50 high quality Squidoo lenses and submitted my application to be accepted as a Giant Squid. And I got there!

You have to keep working for what you want. It pays off.

I am now the first cat to become a Giant Squid. The first anipal to attain that lofty peak. I am THE cat.

Decisions, decisions.

Browsing blog themes is sending me batty, there’s no doubt about it. I could hardly rest today, my catnaps fitful, my interludes interrupted and my winks were closer to thirty than forty. Now I’m in that strange half-state of being too tired to sleep at all!

It must be a medical first! A cat with insomnia.

It’s the stress of course. Picking and choosing themes with sliding galleries, built-in twitter plugs, social media icons and other fancy stuff. It’s hard to reach a decision and, when I do, my decision is not respected.

This is positively bad for a cat of my senior vintage and I’m sick of it.

The woman who feeds me is going batty herself – I wish she would just stop tampering with my designs. She doesn’t realise that her vison is nothing like mine, that she has a human outlook and viewpoint while I have a far superior feline aesthetic.

My blog is designed to be read in the dark. And all blogs are grey in the dark. Turn off the lights and you can read this clearly – as long as you’re a cat.

I’m going to be an investigative journalist. That’s a very important job. It takes a keen brain, a sense of righteousness and a high level of interpersonal skills to deeply investigate a topic of interest like political corruption, dog-bullying or some juicy scandal.

In the tradition of true journalism I will arrive at my own conclusions about the truth of a story.

I will start with my Twitter anipals, who knows what I may dredge up there! Some of those profiles show great promise.
