Dixie went off for a small stroll nine years ago. She failed to return.</p>
<p>But last week she was seen wandering somewhere else entirely and ended up with her microchip being scanned, and thus returned to her original &#8216;owner&#8217;. I question not just where Dixie has been in the last nine years, but the reason for her initial departure.  Why did she leave in the first place?</p>
<p>I&#8217;m told she is <em>a happy, contented cat</em> but she doesn&#8217;t look too jolly in that photo. She looks decidedly cross.</p>
