Sometimes I totally fail to understand the workings of the human mind – the illogic and inconsistency.
Take the woman, for example.
When I was first liberated from the travails of the animal hospital, she kept me inside for a week. I was reduced to staring through the window at the invading sparrows who took the opportunity of my forced absence to run riot in the lemon tree and once, oh perfidy, the arrogant Siamese from across the road just wandered in and sat on my spot under the hydrangeas! All I could do was mime my displeasure through the glass.
But you will find this difficult to believe, Gentle Reader. At dinnertime the woman gaily went off gallivanting with some of her noisy friends and was missing for four full hours while I was left at the back door waiting to come in and take up my accustomed position on the couch.
The worst is yet to come …. she left my apres-dejeuner snacks inside!
Do you think she may be getting senile?
Oh my Cod! Vladimir, this type of wanton disregard for your every need must be reported immediately!
Ha ha ha! Serves you right, cat!
God made cats for dogs, particularly springer spaniels, to chase. I love to chase them especially as, when I was a puppy, two of the horrible creatures trapped me in MY garden and sat there polishing their claws in a very menacing way. My owner rescued when she heard my cries for help.
Ever since I’ve got bigger than cats, I always chase them – serves them right for tormenting poor puppies.
