Lucy is the oldest cat in the world after reaching her 39th birthday.
She’s still fit as a fiddle – and catches mice in the garden.
And here I was complaining about aches and pains of Getting Older. You’ll not hear a word about my small and sporadic temporary memory confusion moments but I wonder if Lucy also has little embarrassing accidents when sleeping? Not that I do, of course. I’ve just read about them.
Anyhow, 39 is a darned good age for a cat, accidents or not.
Is she on a special diet? Perhaps the woman-who-feeds-me can find out and get some clues for my own cuisine. Mind you, I’m not giving up my shredded salmon for hopes of longevity.
Is it true? Is Lucy the oldest cat in the world?
Wow, go, Lucy, go! Thirty-nine years old for a cat is truly amazing. The oldest cat I’ve ever heard of was twenty years old, and he looked it. Lucy looks young and full of life and energy. I love that she eats shredded salmon. I had a cat that used to eat shredded chicken and loved it. She lived to be eighteen. I know that’s no thirty-nine, but I thought she was doing great! Just out of curiosity, does Lucy eat dry food too?
