The Secret Lives of Cats
A grisly circumstance partially revealed through a small camera attached to a cat collar. Piece by piece the gruesome tale unfolds.
This book won the Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine Readers Choice Award for 2008 and the woman-who-feeds-me recommends it. She’s a fan of Kristine Kathryn Rusch and her series about the Retrieval Artist since she first read the The Disappeared : a Retrieval Artist Novel
I’m not much of a science fiction follower myself, I prefer a good mystery, one that makes me think through the details to find the answer to a puzzle myself.
For that reason I’m recommending The Secret Lives of Cats myself. A good story – involving cats.
I like the emphasis on the differing perspectives from cats to humans, and the way the author clearly understands the difficulty that people have in recognising common objects and places from the feline point of view. At least the humans in this story have trouble at first – but as the reader, you soon see it for what it is.
It’s formatted for Kindle and costs $3.99. You can’t go wrong with that price!
